This Coyote was the first sketch for the Apple playlist Boots & Mocs, but they went with the bald eagle wearing cowboy hat. I enjoy painting this Coyote and the approach hasn’t been formulaic, well the same Coyote pose, and they all turn out different. Folks at Indian Market got the low down on the process but messing about with solvents and paints all you need to do. Sometimes it’s a redo, other times it werks.

And I have been trying every light and multiples but can’t seem to not get the glare from the thick gloss varnish on these bastards. 😎🖤🩸
