B.1978 - Mvskoke Creek Nation / Kiowa Tribe of Oklahoma
Born and raised in Albuquerque, New Mexico, Micah received his MFA in painting from the University of Oklahoma in Norman, Oklahoma and his BFA from the Institute of American Indian Arts in Santa Fe, New Mexico.
Growing up, Micah looked at paintings of Native American imagery referred to as Bacone, Dorothy Dunn, and The Kiowa Six. Micah’s influences are TC Cannon, Fritz Scholder, Francis Bacon, and his Father, Tillier Wesley, Jr.
As a child he watched Sci-fi and Westerns and fell in love with the context of survival and reassembled lives and objects.
Micah exhibits annually in solo, group exhibitions and art markets.
Latest Statement:
Ive been obsessed with thoughts of time and space, things happening, happened or going to happen...all happening at once. It bonds me again with those I've lost, sharing light with my mother today and looking forward to joining everyone when meet again. I borrow atoms forged from an exploding star, share the air my ancestors sang, prayed or breathed, and defend what is loaned with thankfulness and responsibility.
Shipping:
All small canvas boards and stretched canvas paintings ship inside of at least 3 layers of cardboard. Large paintings are crated with wood or masonite / shipping rates vary from $200-$300.

*****All sales are final. Refunds Only for damages due to shipping. Shipments go out weekly on Tuesday and Friday. If other shipping arrangements have been made via email or pickup in person, paintings must be picked up or scheduled delivery within 1 month of purchase.
Commissions:
Deposit of half is due at beginning of commission and balance due at completion. Deposit non-refundable.
